The District

The Oak Park Property & Business Improvement District (OPPBID) is a benefit assessment district that was approved by property owners and authorized by the Sacramento City Council for a ten-year term in 2016.  The district supports marketing, special events, maintenance, security services, and general improvement projects in Oak Park. Destination areas across the country have successfully utilized this approach to improve economic conditions, increase restaurant and retail sales, and address community and business district needs.

Safety & Security

The Oak Park Business District coordinates a security program in partnership with California Patrol Operations.  For emergencies, please call 911.  For security dispatch on Broadway between Highway 99 and MLK Jr. Blvd (2nd and 36th on the north, 33rd and 6th Avenue on the south) please call the OPBA office for the security dispatch phone number.  If you questions about the service boundaries please email us at opbastaff@gmail.com.

Maintenance

The OPBD has been working closely with Jose’s Landscaping Services for the past five years.  This popular program is managed by Jose and Alma Ramirez, both of whom can be seen throughout in the district in their bright yellow vests and jackets.  Services include graffiti abatement, litter and refuse removal, landscaping and trash pickup.  To report maintenance issues, please email us at opbastaff@gmail.com
